The 2019 FIA Motorsport Games at ACI Vallelunga Circuit, Campagnano di Roma (Italy) in November 2019 truly created a strong effect for all motorsport fans. It is not only about the fascinating, nail- biting performance but also the extremely unexpected outcomes.
One of the most shocking event in 2019 is the announcement of World Automobile Federation (FIA) about the launch of a new international, multidisciplinary event, besides Race of Champions (ROC), namely FIA Motorsports Games. The 2019 FIA Motorsport Games was the first edition of the FIA Motorsport Games held at ACI Vallelunga Circuit, Campagnano di Roma from 1 November to 3 November 2019.
Before, ROC had been the only competition for the elite in the professional racing world, champions from F1, World Rally Championship, IndyCar, NASCAR ... to compete their skills against each other on identical cars.

In announcing the creation of the FIA Motorsport Games, FIA President Jean Todt said: “I am pleased to launch the FIA Motorsport Games, which will combine a variety of disciplines and all the elements of a major sporting occasion in one event. It is something new for not only motor sport followers and future generations of competitors, but also those with a general appreciation of international sport. It is another opportunity for ASNs and ACNs to engage with new audiences and harness the patriotism within their respective nations”.
Even though machined based or motorized sports are not yet recognized by the Olympics Games, thus will not be recognized as an Olympic event; FIA Motorsport. Games is contested in the Olympics-style, which is considered an innovation of motorsport competition.
In the first season, FIA Motorsport Games 2019 attracted about 200 racing drivers from 51 National FIA member organizations (ASNs). 24 sets of medals were featured in 6 categories: GT, F4, Touring car, Digital Motorsport, Drifting, Karting Slalom.

Russia topped the final medals table to receive FIA Motorsport Games 2019 trophy with 1 gold medal and 2 bronze medals, one gold medal for Klim Gavrilov in the Touring Car Cup and two bronze medals in the Drifting and Slalom Karting Cups. Ukrainian driver Dmitriy Illyuk won in the Drifting Cup while Netherlands picked up gold medal in Slalom Karting Cup. In F4 Cup, the first place belonged to Italian driver Andrea Rosso; while Australian driver Cody Nikola Latkovski won the Digital Motorsport Cup; and GT Cup belonged to Japanese driver Sasahara Ukyo.
After a lot of unexpected developments during the first season, the year 2020 promises a lot of good news for not only world motorsport fans but also Vietnamese motorsport fans. Along with Vietnam hosting the first F1 Grand Prix in April 2020 in Hanoi, Vietnamese squad are preparing to earn a ticket to participate in FIA Motorsport Games 2020. The special feature of 2020 edition is that the range of subjects opens to amateur racing drivers, which means anyone can aparticipate.

It is expected that the FIA Motorsport Games 2020 season will start from 21 - 25 October 2020 at the Marseille, Paul Ricard Circuit. The format still includes 6 aforementioned disciplines: GT, F4, Digital Motorsport, Touring car, Drifting and Karting Slalom. Additional categories will be: Karting, Endurance format (mixed crew), Cross car, LMP, Rally 4WD, Rally 2WD

- Building a racing team: January to July 2020
- Application opens: July 15, 2020
- Application closes: September 15, 2020
